Wide-Awakeness

The notion of "wide-awakeness" (related to Buddhist idea of mindfulness) is found in many education writings with some interchangeable terms. John Dewey refers to this idea of wide-awakeness as a teacher being "alive"; Schoen refers to it as "reflection-in-action."

Maxine Greene's "Wide-Awakeness and the Moral Life" from Landscapes of Learning (1978)
